Wilson, Clemons shine amongst the stars
Greensboro, NC-- Jake Wilson and Carlee Clemons each received phone calls from Coach Scott McInnes on the morning of July 19th informing them to pack their bags for Greensboro to appear in the NCCA East-West All Star Game as replacements for two players who were unable to participate.
48 Hours later, the two Millbrook graduates lined up under the lights of the Greensboro Coliseum to represent their high school one last time. Both Wildcats entered off the bench a few minutes into the 1st Quarter and immeadiately made an impact. As the West All-Stars attempted to get the ball past mid court, Carlee Clemons picked up a loose ball and quickly tossed it up court to his teammate Jake Wilson who promptly slammed it in on the fastbreak for the first dunk of the game. The 7'0 Lenior Rhyne commit finished the game with a couple rebounds and blocks to accompany his 8 point effort. Clemons also finished with 8 points.
When all was said and done, the West came home with the exhibition victory but for Clemons, and Wilson it was an chance to represent the school that each of them lettered at three times. On top of that, they were presented with the chance to play one final time for Coach Scott McInnes who served as an assistant coach in the event.
