Wildcats to play in HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational

OCTOBER 2ND- HighSchoolOT.com announced the field for the 2014 HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational Tournament hosted at Broughton High School on December 26th, 27th, 29th, and 30th.

The Wildcats are in a strong public school field for the tournament, which features Apex, Brighton (Utah), Broughton, Garner, Kinston, Knightdale, Leesville.

Formerly the Glaxo Smith Kline Invitational, the annual tournament will be reaching it's 44th year of bring many of the top teams, and athletes from around the country to the Triangle area. 2014 marks Millbrook's 15th appearance in the tournament, and first since 2011. The Wildcats hold a 15-26 record overall, with a highest finish of 2nd Place in 1982.

Over two dozen alumni of the invitational actively play in the NBA including stars such as John Wall, Roy Hibbert, and Rajon Rondo. The event also showcases many of the top recruits from Triangle area schools. Millbrook last put together a 1-2 showing in the 2011 tournament vs. Word of God, St. Raymonds (Bronx, NY), and Kinston. The Wildcats won their 1st Round matchup on a last second layup by Karon Blount to defeat the Holy Rams, before dropping their final two games.
