Wildcats knock off undefeated Trojans

Millbrook took part in their first HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational in four years and they took on another local powerhouse in the Garner Trojans who entered with a record of 9-0. Jashaun Smith started the game with a dunk followed by a Nick Kuhns three to get the Garner offense going but it would be the smallest man on the floor who would once again steal the show. 5'9 Chris Clemons scored the next 6 points of the game and from there, Millbrook never trailed as they topped Garner 87-71 in front of a sold out gym at Broughton High School.

Clemons went 6 of 12 from beyond the arc and finished with 36 points, the second most in his career, and his fourth 30+ point game this season. Robert Brown etched his name into the history books early on as his second basket of the night was his 1,000th point at Millbrook. He joins Cameron Stanley, Jonathan Moore, and Princston Terry as the only players in school history to do so. Brown finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds despite only playing four minutes in the first half due to foul trouble.

Andrew Evans and Trejon Jacob would also score in double figures for the Wildcats as each had 12. Only 7 players found their way on to the score sheet for Millbrook and two of the Wildcats' starters were held scoreless in the game.
